IAPG Network: DESAME 2016 in Democratic Republic of Congo
Great news from Africa - Democratic Republic of Congo!
The celebration of the Day of Earth Sciences in Africa and Middle-East (DESAME 2016) will be held in Bukavu (Democratic Republic of Congo) on March 20, 2016 from 10:00 to 16:00 at the Hotel Nard on Emery Avenue Patrice Lumumba in Nguba.
This event is organized by the DR Congo section of the IAPG-International Association for Promoting Geoethics, YES-DR Congo, DR Congo AAWG-section, in collaboration with StrongWomen DRC, and a workshop will take place, focused on the following themes:
- Earth Sciences and Climate Change in South Kivu: Challenges, Opportunities and Perspectives;
- Earth Sciences as a bridge between young and senior citizens in order to strengthen peace and coexistence of peoples;
- The Congolese women and the natural resources management.
